Convex & Double Taper Leaders These ultralight, tapered leaders consist of two sections: leader and tapered tippet. The first four sections can end in a perfection loop, to which the last three are added. Leaders are all tied with Maxima Ultra Green monofilament. You can shorten the three tippet sections for windy conditions.

Generally, favorable conditions like back wind and low humidity allow long leaders. Use shorter leaders for no or unpredictable wind and high humidity.
